We have spent the last ten successful years plus, 1999-2010 on EBay operating an online bookstore. This bold yet daunting endeavor, leaving the clout of EBay, will enable us to feature a broader inventory of contemporary first editions, competitive pricing, and a less layered path to benefit our favorite causes.
We established on EBay, and our objective is to continue this march, proving and protecting our 100% positive customer feedback from our book buying enthusiast. Our current level of favorable experiences with buyers is over 1,300. EBay buyers can leave ratings, 5 being the best, on Item as Described, Communication, Shipping Time, and Shipping and Handling Charges. Our kind customers have rated us 5 in all four important categories.
Country Squire Books continually searches and procures collectible and popular first editions throughout each year. We want to keep our inventory percolating with rare, contemporary, newly released, and authentically autographed additions.
The founders at CSB’s are also longtime avid readers as well as bibliomaniacs. Some of our favorite authors are Abbey, Atwood, Russell Banks, Jonathan Carroll, Chabon, Crews, DeLillo, Fowles, Jim Harrison, D.H. Lawrence, McCarthy, McGuane, Proulx, Rand, Tom Robbins, Russo, Roth, Stegner, Jim Thompson, and Updike, to name a few!
These lists are tough. They either seem too long or a slight to many other great crafters of fiction.
Check in regularly with us, bookmark us, and check out our blog. Our blog will include personal and professional book reviews, quotations and thought provoking passages from saved readings or new books we are reading. We will post the new arrivals on our smoke free, dehumidified shelves, sales and miscellaneous bibliomania.
Country Squire Books has long been a staunch volunteer supporter of our local Children’s Miracle Network. The CMN’s Mission statement is: to generate funds and awareness programs in partnership with and for the benefit of member hospitals and the children they are privileged to serve.
There is no greater cause than children. Our new independent e-commerce bookstore provides us another avenue to contribute funds to Children’s Miracle Network. We will donate 10% of each book sale to our favorite endowment. Website is www.childrensmiraclenetwork.org
A small percent of our inventory is on consignment from dear family members. These books will be denoted with a Global Soap Project logo, and we will contribute 40% of each sale to this great inspiring program. The Project, headquartered in Atlanta, GA, recovers and recycles soap from American Hotels. The discarded soap is sanitized, melted and remolded into new bars, then distributed to refugee camps in Africa. The website is www.globalsoap.org
We look forward to developing new relationships as well as continuing to serve our valuable established book lovers.
Your feedback and recommendations are important to us. We will not be able to satisfy everyone’s desires, but a plurality may prompt us on one of those enjoyable hawking expeditions!
